Today, GSF unveils its first-ever global report on environmental, social, and governance (ESG) impacts. Detailing the company’s worldwide commitment to corporate responsibility practices, metrics, strategies, and performance for the 2021
fiscal year, GSF’s inaugural Impact Report centers on the following vision: Golden State Foods’ commitment to doing what’s right for future generations embodies our responsibility and promise to conscientiously facilitate the prosperity of associates, customers, partners, communities, and the environment.
“Our values-driven associates have support
ed our customers, served our communities, and successfully serviced hundreds of foodservice industry brands for 75 years, operating with sustainability in mind for decades,” said GSF Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Mark Wetterau in his message within the report. “Together, we continue to focus on pursuing GSF’s goals to preserve resources, reduce our carbon footprint, and make the world a better place for all of us.”
Available for download at GoldenStateFoods.com, the inaugural report includes key sections about GSF’s sustainability journey and a materiality assessment that defines the company’s most significant focus areas for progress evaluation and future implementation of policies and goals. ion, among others. Dedicated to regular and transparent communication, GSF intends to publish an annual impact report to demonstrate progress related to all business units.
