Each quarter, GSF features associates celebrating milestone anniversaries within the GSF family of companies, sharing their journey, insights and what makes their time with the company so special.
In late 2023, Emine Jasli from GSF Fresh! Australia marked a significant milestone with three decades of unwavering service as part of the Produce Products team. Her journey began 30 years ago in food processing, cutting and cleaning lettuce and onions. Open to learning new skills, Emine earned promotions and increasing responsibility in quality control and in her current role of production planning. This involves early mornings checking all orders, allocating work to her colleagues, imputing inventory into the system, and supporting her team wherever they need assistance.
To Emine, GSF feels like family, and she’s incredibly grateful for the experiences she gained throughout her career. She describes this milestone as a remarkable journey. Looking back on her long tenure, she recounts her peers supporting her and becoming friends along the way.
“I genuinely love my time here, fostering strong connections with colleagues who became lifelong friends,” said Emine. “The initial challenges due to language barriers were overcome with the invaluable support of both the company and fellow Turkish-speaking coworkers, making the experience even more rewarding.”
Emine attributes her success to her positive attitude, people skills, and commitment to suggesting new ideas. Ensuring she arrives punctually and completes her job accurately, her strong work ethic has also contributed to her career advancement. She advises others interested in manufacturing careers to show up daily, work hard, and leverage teamwork.
“If you are willing to put in the hard work and be a part of the team, there is no reason you can’t reach the top,” explains Emine.
