During its 2021 Technical Meeting last month, the Association for Dressings and Sauces (ADS) presented the 2021 Technical Achievement Award to members of the ADS Research Subcommittee, including GSF’s Mariana Manole, Group Vice President of Quality, Food Safety, Regulatory Affairs – Global Liquid Products, and Suzanne Mailman, International Food Technologist and Quality Systems Specialist. The Association, which represents manufacturers of salad dressings, mayonnaise, condiment sauces, and the suppliers to the industry, recognized members for their notable achievements in advancing industry knowledge, innovation, and excellence.
“Congratulations to Mariana and Suzanne on their well-deserved ADS recognition and the contributions they’ve made to advancing these important research projects,” said Dr. Wayne Morgan, Corporate Vice President and President, Protein Products and Operations Support Services. “We commend these leaders for representing our food manufacturing businesses so positively through their involvement in the Research Subcommittee and for demonstrating the valued technical expertise that GSF associates bring to the foodservice industry overall.”
As collaborators serving on the ADS Research Subcommittee, Mariana and Suzanne teamed up with other food manufacturing experts to research the buffering capacity of salad dressing. Additional honorees include Research Subcommittee members from Brooks’ Bottling Co., International Flavors & Fragrances, Inc., Litehouse, Inc., T. Marzetti Company; The Clorox Company, TreeHouse Foods, Ventura Foods, and Wisconsin Spice, Inc. ADS expects the results of these studies will provide critical technical knowledge for the manufacture of dressings and sauces.
